Background

I'm not a true Florida Native, but I can assure you that I'll never leave. My family moved from Philadelphia to Orlando when I was 7 years old. I remained there until graduating from the University of Central Florida in 1999 with a degree in Marketing. I then moved to West Palm Beach and ended up working for SunFest before beginning a 10-year career in the Marketing Department of Clear Channel Radio as Promotions Director for the radio stations Wild 95.5 and Gater 98.7.

As the industry changed so did my interests. I found myself owning two homes before I was thirty and helping friends and co-workers with Real Estate advice. I finally realized I could make a living doing what I loved by becoming a Realtor. I could be my own boss, have more time to surf, travel, and increase my charity efforts. In 2005, I got my Real Estate license and never looked back!

Live | Surf | Give

I've sort of adopted the slogan Live - Surf - Give to represent my passion for surfing and giving back. Surfing and my charity involvement have shaped who I am and what I strive to be. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. People in your life, decisions made, paths taken and mistakes made are all happen for a reason. So let life happen, learn from mistakes, maintain a positive attitude, and you will get back what you put in.

Surfing

When I was in 6th grade I wanted to start surfing but my parents thought it was "too dangerous." They compromised and bought me a Skim Board and later a Boogie Board.  We had a 2nd home in New Smyrna Beach located directly on the beach. That Summer, I spotted a surfboard sitting on the rocks. It was beat up pretty bad and had obviously washed up on the beach but I wanted that board! Mom remembers me sitting all day watching to see if anyone would claim it. Just before dark she said "fine go ahead and get it." That beat up, water logged, single fin Sundancer changed my life. Since then every decision in my life has revolved around Surfing: where I live, where I travel, the jobs I've held, my friends, relationships, charities I support and my all around outlook on life.

Little Smiles

A few years ago I went to Palms West Hospital for a Nerf Gun Fight. We entered a small room that had beds with little kids all hooked up to machines, someone called it the "Chemo Room." We carried in a couple boxes of big Nerf guns, darts and goggles. The kids too weak to walk sat up in bed and others got to “unplug” and run around. The next thing I knew the room was full of screaming and laughing and the air was full of Nerf Darts! I don’t know who had more fun, me or those kids. I’ve been on the Board of Directors for Little Smiles since that day.

Share The Stoke Foundation

In December of 2013, I traveled to a tiny ocean side town of San Agustin, Mexico with STSF. A group of little kids all shared a beat up old surfboard that they rented for $.10 a day. We partnered with a local Mexican Pro Surfer and gifted these kids brand new surfboards, all the equipment needed to surf and a long list of life lessons. I immediately saw the impact this had on the entire town and every single person that lived there. This trip and the many others I've taken with STSF have forever improved my outlook on life!

Surfrider Foundation of Palm Beach County

I spend a great deal of time at the beach and in the ocean. It's always disappointing to see all the trash in the sand and water. Beach clean ups were my introduction to the Surfrider Foundation. I soon realized how many other issues there were to be dealt with in order to protect my playground. The Surfrider Foundation's purpose is to protect our Ocean, Waves and Beaches by focusing on water quality, beach access, marine habitats, reducing pollution, etc. Some of our members don't even surf, fish or dive, they simply share a common love of our ocean and beaches.
